Priscilla Presley Sues Former Business Partners for Elder Abuse and Fraud
Elvis Presley’s ex-wife Priscilla Presley is suing four of her former business partners, alleging they coerced her into turning over control of the plane she once shared with ‘The King’ for use as a tourist attraction. She says the two developed an intricate plot to bleed her dry.
Priscilla filed her suit Thursday in Los Angeles, suing Brigitte Kruse (auctioneer), Kevin Fialko (consignor), and Vahe Sislyan (partner with Guernsey’s)… all of whom allegedly conspired to peddle fake Elvis artifacts as the real deal. Priscilla may be the victim of a lotto scheme where these people claim they convinced Priscilla to hand over control of almost every aspect of her life and then defrauded her.
The Lawsuit Details
A lawsuit filed by high-profile lawyer Martin Singer on behalf of Priscilla states, “This case is about the defendants engaging in a nefarious scheme to sell an elderly woman with dementia false and worthless virtual reality technology. They befriended her, isolated from critical friends and family members, and led her to believe they were going to personally provide for all of the needs she had. But they really wanted to Play a trick on her and Ensure that she lost all of HER money.
Kruse’s Alleged Involvement
In an interview with Singer, Kruse had this to say about the case: The post-Guitar Center head beamed up by Star Trek copyright trolls appeared first on Buy It At A Bargain. The defendants allegedly stole over $1 million from Priscilla and persuaded her to sign a contract that would have left them with 80% of what she could make in the coming years.
Singer also notes that Priscilla is a prominent actress, author, and cultural figure — illustrating how well the defendants’ plan worked. He points out that elder abuse and fraud can happen to all.
Previous Legal Battles
The new lawsuit comes eight months after Kruse’s company, Priscilla Presley Partners, sued Presley in Florida. PreviousNext A lawsuit alleged that Priscilla, right, and her executor turned on Kruse — seen here in 2008 with the lawyer suing him for millions stemming from those deals – after they saved her from financial ruin by negotiating a deal last year touted as worth $100 million to make an Elvis biopic.
Singer, however, suggests in his fresh lawsuit that the old case was a front for Kruse and Fialko.
Defendants’ Reaction
Once the defendants learned that their fraud had been discovered, they went on offense by filing a baseless lawsuit against Priscilla in Florida and using the names of several shell entities created by them. The Singer: « They lied and said Priscilla breached non-disclosure agreements that they forced her to sign.
Kruse was married to Vahe Sislyan, who is a co-defendant named in the criminal complaint as participating in the scheme and Lynn Walker Wright is an Orlando attorney who allegedly assisted them.
Isolation and Manipulation
According to Priscilla’s legal team, Kruse and the others made friends with her behind closed doors as a means of undermining her existing business and financial advisors. They told Priscilla that they were either dishonest or incompetent advisors who merely made her lose money. Once Kruse and Co. had Priscilla isolated, they convinced her to sign away financial rights – including allowing them access to her trusts as well as bank accounts- saying it was all about being in business with sham firms like Priscilla Presley Partners.
Exploitation of Priscilla’s Name and Likeness
One such deal, the lawsuit says, was one in which defendants were given an exclusive license to exploit Priscilla’s name, image, and likeness for their profit — as well as control over nearly all of her income related to professional work.
Seeking Control Over Future Income
Singer writes that the defendants wanted to take more from her than they already could. They were working to gain control over her future income and make sure she would work for most of the money they could get access to in her name.
Allegations about all of these issues were not addressed in comments on them from an attorney for Kruse and Priscilla Presley Partners. He didn’t respond to Walker Wright either.
