Actor Christian Oliver, his two young children, and the pilot of a tiny aircraft perished in a plane accident in the Caribbean Sea, according to officials on Friday.

According to a press release from the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, the tiny aircraft carrying 51-year-old Oliver—who went by his true name, Christian Klesper—and his daughters, Madita, 12, and Annika, 10, was carrying them. The pilot was recognized as Robert Sacks, the plane’s owner, and a resident. Sacks’s American citizenship was also recognized by the US Department of State.

Oliver’s death was also verified by his representatives, who wrote a statement to CBS News expressing their “thoughts and prayers are with him, his two daughters, and his family.”

Shortly after midday, according to the authorities, the aircraft went down in the water around one mile off the shore of Petit Nevis. The aircraft was traveling around 65 miles to Saint Lucia when it encountered problems soon after takeoff and crashed into the ocean, according to officials.

After the collision, according to officials, local fishermen and scuba divers arrived in the area. Officials said that the divers found the remains and turned them over to Coast Guard personnel from St. Vincent and the Grenadines who were on the site. Who was Christian Oliver?
