Cara Delevingne’s Mansion Engulfed in Flames
Actress-model Cara Delevingne’s two-story hillside property in Studio City was badly destroyed by fire on Friday; an extra person was wounded along with a fireman.
Early Morning Blaze Strikes Studio City
According to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fire was found in the 3200 block of Oakdell Lane, east of Fryman Road, just before four in the morning.
“When firefighters got there, they discovered a deep-seated attic fire that had burned through one room in the back of the 6,650-square-foot, two-story house that had been built in 1971,” said Prange.
According to Prange, “Crews verified that every occupant had left the house and subsequently went into defensive mode because the prolonged, intense fire exposed the structural members.”
Structural Damage and Roof Collapse
As firemen maintained employing hose streams from the outside, the roof of the home crumbled, according to Prange. In the end, it took 94 firemen 2 hours and 16 minutes to reach the fire, confine it, and put it out. One passenger had mild smoke inhalation, while one fireman was taken in fair condition.
Injury Reported: Firefighter and Occupant
The firefighter was checked out at the hospital and seems to be doing okay after getting hurt off a ladder, as per the fire commander on site.
Delevingne, who is temporarily vacationing in England, is the owner of the residence. She uploaded a photo of two kittens on Instagram on Friday morning along with the message, “My heart is broken today.” It’s amazing to me. Remember to treasure the things in your life since they might change quickly.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all the firefighters and people who have shown up to help,” she said.
The model subsequently shared a fresh image of the two kittens to her post and wrote, “They are alive!!” I’m grateful to the firemen.
Community Shocked by Mansion’s Destruction
An inquiry was continuing to discover the fire’s cause.
Delevingne, 31, started modeling at an early age and has subsequently posed for several major fashion companies. Her debut motion picture appearance was in the 2012 film “Anna Karenina.” She has since acted in films such as “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” “The Face of an Angel,” “Pan,” and “Suicide Squad.”
In addition to being a member of the cast of Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building,” she made a cameo in the music video for Taylor Swift’s song “Bad Blood” in 2015.
