Adan Canto: A Private Battle, A Profound Legacy

Canto preferred to keep his condition a secret, but publicist Jennifer Allen informed the Associated Press that the cause of his death was appendiceal cancer.

Few people are aware of Adan’s very deep soul. “Those who caught a glimpse of it were irrevocably transformed,” Alan said in a release. “He will be remembered by many.”

Raised in Texas and originally from Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, Canto started his career as a singer-songwriter at the age of 16, moving to Mexico City from his hometown. Then he tried his hand at acting, making his TV debut in the 2009 Mexican series “Estados Di Gracia.” After making his American debut, Kevin Williamson appeared in the 2013 Fox drama series “The Following,” which also starred Kevin Bacon.

Vice President Aaron Shore, Rodrigo Lara Bonilla, a Colombian politician who played a designated survivor in Narcos, and the alternative Sunspot from X-Men: Days of Future Past are all featured in their noteworthy roles. In addition to his directorial début, Bruised, Canto has also appeared in Agent Game, the inaugural film directed by Halle Berry.

After helming his inaugural short film in 2014, he proceeded to direct a captivating Western short film featuring Theo Rossi in 2020.

In Memory of Adan Canto: A Talented Actor’s Legacy and Heartfelt Tributes

During his time of death, Armand Morales was portraying the character of Canto Fox in “The Cleaning Lady,” currently in its third season. He was unable to participate in the production due to his illness, but he was hopeful to rejoin the season later.

Canto’s smile was broad, and his laughter was hearty. His friends mentioned that he possessed sensitivity and humility, qualities that did not often align with a prominent figure with a large physique and square jaw.

Sardarland, who acted opposite Kiefer in Designated Survivor, offered a tribute on his Instagram page.

“Feels like I’ve had to publish so many of these lately, but I’m crushed by the passing of Adan Canto. He was a great soul,” commented Sardarland, posting a photo of both of them on set in a caption. “His desire to be a good actor, to be great, and then be better, was truly impactful, and he will be greatly missed.”

“I am sorry for his wife Stef and their two tiny children. Adan, may you find peace.”
